Hello world!

I wanted to start a blog to offer peace in troubled times. All who suffer are welcome here. I will post content that is aimed at giving hope to those who need it.

While I come from a religious mindset of the western tradition of Christianity I want to welcome any and all faiths to read, speak and share. Clearly I am biased and can only post from that bias position. I hope you will accept the musings of a poor servant and find within a way of peace.

Todays thought is this

The righteous cry out, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

This comes from the book of Psalms 34:17

So many questions arise

who are the righteous?

who is the Lord?

what is this deliverance? is it for me?

Such a bold promise is made here. A helper is put forth called The Lord. How does he so bodly offer help when others do not? What power does he have to say so confidently, I will help you? But a condition is made, his help is offered to “the righteous”. How lovely it would be to be helped by one more powerful than myself especially from “troubles”. How is one to be numbered among the righteous? Is doing good enough? What if I fail, is the offer of help withdrawn?

There is within these words the seeds of hope. But I see a journey too, to answer all those questions.
